Hi....I haven't posted any fashion related photos recently....just didn't feel like getting dressed up. Do you ever feel like you need to take a break from fashion and clothes? My girl friends would say I'm crazy...they believe fashion is better than food! I went out with my single girlfriends last night to Paris Club....a new trendy place in town. People say you meet new mothers since your a mother but all my new friends I have encountered and love are single girls....who are looking to find that new love. All have been through roller coaster of relationships and say how hard it is to find a NORMAL guy. So, when we go out....I'm the new wing girl. Its nice to be out with single friends....I get to live vicariously through them and I have no problems helping them seek that NORMAL guy. Here is what I wore last night.....many awful and evil stares due to my fur. Isn't leather just as bad? My other friends were also in fur and we definitely were looked down upon.

My husband surprised me with tickets to Janet Jackson concert last night!! What a great guy. We had amazing seats....7 rows from the stage. She was amazing!! A tribute to Michael and I think I saw few tears.... She looked great and the show was sold out. We got there 10 minutes late and missed CONTROL!! The couple next to us was so drunk they were spilling their drinks all over everyone so they left during the middle of the concert so we had lots of room to dance. Surprised to see so many boyfriends husbands there! I gave the concert an A! My first Janet Jackson concert! Have you been to a great concert lately?

Hi!! Back from our family vacation. It was so much fun. Thought having Payton would be difficult to enjoy our vacation but it was amazing and would never travel without him. He is an angel on the plane and though out the vacation in Aruba. Well....we had a babysitter at night so we can go out and play...so we cheated a bit. :) Here are some pictures of our vacation. We stayed at the Marriot Stellaris which is the best on the island. We visited a few others and they were nice too but we were happy we chose to stay at the Marriot. All the resorts are baby/kid friendly. There were so many families with kids....I was impressed! We did a lot of eating and that can get expensive. Apparently, this is the prime time now and their prices are ridiculous if you ask me but its half the cost in May. Who wants to go there in May when its warm here?!?! We went on a submarine to see the dunken ship that's 70 years old and then on a sunset dinner cruise(just hubby and i). It was so romantic...food was ok but we ended the night dancing! We also went to this fabulous restaurant called Madame Jannette the next night.....INCREDIBLE! My 2nd best restaurant experience. My husband loved the bang bang shrimp so much he had 2 servings of it! LOL The weather was beautiful every day and very windy but the wind kept us cool!! We didn't want to come back home!!!!

I would be happy to chat if anyone is interested in going to Aruba. I highly recommend it !! I wish I knew someone that would've of given me pointers about Aruba. Best way to travel is to be prepared especially with kids. More pictures to come.....

Exotic Vacation to South Africa!

Hope you had a great weekend! Thinking about travel and my favorite destinations.....one of them being South Africa. My hubbie and I went on a safari in south africa for our honeymoon. It was truly an amazing experience. LOVE to do it again but lack of time due to my son and business. Traveling with our son on a safari is out of the question for now.....maybe when he's 15 since thats when kids are allowed on safari trips. Here are some of our adventures!! Hello! I was looking back at my pictures and noticed how wonderful and relaxing it was planting flowers and looking at them every morning out my window and deck. I LOVE gardening and such a mindless hobby. These photos are of I when I was pregnant with Payton. Its only Feb but April/May, is when we plant these beautiful flowers. I cant wait!! Most of these flowers were bought from Jayson here in chicago. They have amazing selections. I noticed that the ones from Home Depot do not last as long....and the quality is not as great. You get what you paid for! Whats your spring hobby?

Hi Everyone!!! Hope you all had a good week and TGIF. I had a date with my girlfriend to have lunch at the Peninsula this afternoon. I got my mom to babysit and rearranged a few things to catch up with my friend.....but she had to cancel due to work issues. So...already downtown and in the area....what to do....so I decided to head over to Zara. Found cute basics for my son and I. I cant believe how affordable their clothing is and the quality is amazing. Sorry for the awful photo quality! I have been obsessed with fur and boots this winter season. I love this weather! It got a bit chilly and windy later on in the day but it was pretty much a nice day.....again. We are expected to get more freezing weather :( I had lunch with my friend Phillip at Gibsons He owns tails in the city here in chicago. They have amazing goodies for your furry friend!! It was so nice to catch up with him. I ran some errands while my awesome mother babysat....she's so amazing!!! Thanks mom!!!! We leave for Aruba next week so I had to get last minute things for our trip.

I love getting dressed every morning.....fashion is a part of my life and always have been. Growing up with a mother who constantly updated her wardrobe to keep up with the fashion trend....I was inspired to be just like her. Finally, the weather is nice and warm. I went shopping today and got a really cute outfit for my son for our family photo shoot. Its sooo cute!!! I cant wait to put it on Payton. So with all the end of the season sales.....I was unable to find the perfect grey boot to complete my wardrobe. I looked and looked and over this past weekend....I found these jeweled boots for almost nothing. It was 75% off and not my size but I loved them so much....I made it work. Hope you had a great valentine whether it was with friends, family or your furry friend! I had a amazing valentine with my husband and son. Came home and roses along with a beautiful card was on the kitchen counter. Apparently the huz came home at noon to deliver the flowers in person but I wasn't home.....at work which he apparently forgot. He cant keep up with my schedule he says. LOL! Valentines day is fun but Im not a huge believer in exchanging gifts and etc. Having dinner with my family was enough for me! I feel blessed to have a loving family and amazing group of friends. TGIF? Well for me....it was a friday where I double booked a date with my husband and my girlfriends. I love the weekends because I get to spend time with my girlfriends and date night with my husband. I didn't know that friday would be the night to do both... So my husband and I had dinner at Bob San and then went out to Mercadito for drinks with my girlfriends. It worked out after all.... I got to eat 2 times friday night :) Do you ever make the same mistake and double book?

Well....I am trying something new with my look. I am soo inspired by all the different looks I am seeing!! I got these vera wang boots at nordstroms rack....and just love them. So comfortable and stylish. The detailed rhinestone belt around the boot dress up the look! The chanel purse was a great buy on ebay. I couldn't resist the deal. I LOVE ebay....you can get so many great things there for a reasonable price almost for nothing.

Another COLD day........! My husband, myself and my son walked over to our favorite Italian restaurant in our neighborhood called Piazza Bella last night. Thought we were the only crazy people walking to dinner in 10 below freezing but when we got to the restaurant....it was slammed with people. Dinner was soo yummy. Had Salmon and shrimp in a tomato broth sauce! It was the perfect dinner for my diet. Trying to eat better these days.

I have been intrigued by all the cool belts, hats, purses, bracelets and jewelery everyone is bloggin about. I was never really into accessorizing your outfit but I have been inspired by many other bloggers. It really puts a final touch on your outfit. I LOVE the haute hippie necklace. You can wear it with a dress, tank top t shirt....you can dress it up or dress it down. The Jimmy Choo clutch is vintage....it was such a great deal on hautelook, I couldnt resist. Its snakeskin and LOVE the color cream. This belt I got at a sample sale....AMAZING! You can detach the chain part and just wear the belt....but I LOVE the chain, the reason I bought it. The bracelet is sooo much cooler on. Its different!!!

Well....we chicagoans are struggling to get back into the outside world. Day 2 of being home all day with my 6 month old son and my shepard. Its nice to have a break and relax. So....I wondered where do I spend most of my time on a daily basis. Our kitchen, famiy room and bedroom! Here are some photos of where I hibernate with my loved ones. My huz prefers his man pad downstairs dedicated to his sports and his favorite teams. I moved in with my husband 2 years ago. He had a interior decorator and he fell in LOVE with asian antique furniture( how ironic LOL). Our whole house is themed around asian furniture from thailand, china, japan and korea. Its a bit dark for me but I dont have the time to go through the redecorating process. Let me know what you all think....can always do small face lifts to make the house brighter. (Our 2nd wall addition in our master bedroom...its magic!!!!)

Is my 6 month old son too young for basketball game?

When is the right age to take your baby to his first basketball game? My husband and I came to an agreement that if we took our son to the game....we would leave the minute he got fussy. The game started at 7pm and left by 9pm(4th qtr). My huz said, "come one 5 more minutes". I said "a deal is a deal". Payton, my son decided enough is enough!!! LOL we took precautions and took his earphones to keep the noise down. Unfortunately, he did not like the earphones :( Hopefully, he will get use to it soon....a lot more games planned ahead.

Is it safe to have a big dog with new baby?

Ever wonder if having a big 95 lbs dog is safe with a newborn? This was our dilemma before our son came home. The trick is....NEVER forget about your fist baby....which is the dog. We always made sure he had his own time with us and taught him that the baby is a part of this family and he needs his space. Most dogs adapt fairly quickly. Our german sheperd loves my son and protects him everyone that comes over. One rule of thumb that we learned is to make sure that he know you are the BOSS. We trained him with treats when he behaved and listened. Dogs think black and white so clear and precise direction is key.

If you are still unsure and worried....contact your vet for more information. Here are some photos of my pup and son. :) Now they both share daddy attention!!!

Hi Everyone!

Do you ever wonder....when is my baby going to sleep through the night? I asked myself this questions for months and after trial and error...he was looking for 3 things....well 3 blue things. 1) pacifier 2) his blankie 3) sack. He needs all these items to calm him to a restful sleep. Pacifier....well thats a given...ALL babies love that. Blankie....I didn't give it to him until 1 month ago and now he cant sleep without it...even naps. Finally....the sack! Well with this freezing and cold temperature here in chicago, its good to keep the baby warm. My son is always hot but at night he likes it warm. He would sleep 6 hours and awake. Then, sleep another 40 minutes and awake. I couldnt understand why and I finally realized that he needed a sack to keep his legs and upper body warm. I was contemplating on a blanket but with SIDS, it wasn't an option.

Well.....I hope this helps you out there in need of ideas!

hello ladies!

its january and the coldest month of the year. i hate heavy coats and layering. makes you look fat and bulky. here are my fashion tips to keep warm but chic and stylish.

i have on a black thick sweater by plein sud(vintage designer no longer around) and poncho by tart(gilt.com and bought it for $79). i also have on thick leggings by poof and fur boots by bebe. my bag is by givency that i bought for $900 at a resale store in nyc. it was never used and brand new......my bargain of the month.

We had a run of nice weather here in Chicago, yesterday was probably the last of our Indian summer and today brings cold winds and rain. But the most exciting part of fall is busting out my booties! Zip em, buckle em, or lace em up...they're a must have during the chilly months.
